Installing Industrial Shelf Brackets

The following mounting materials are supplied for mounting this shelf bracket: 4 nylon plugs 8 x 40 mm, 4 matt black screws 6 x 40 mm TX30, 4 screws AR-coated 6 x 40 mm TX30, and a Torx 30 (TX30) bit for tightening the screws.

Each shelf bracket has two 7 mm mounting holes. First of all, determine exactly where the shelf brackets should be placed. Mark the mounting holes with a carpenter's pencil and drill a hole 8mm wide and 40mm deep. For this, you use an 8 mm concrete drill. Then press the nylon plugs firmly into the hole.

Now hold the shelf support in place and insert the screws through the mounting holes of the shelf bracket into the plugs. Then tighten it firmly with the TX30 bit and a drill. Do this for both shelf brackets so that the solid base for your shelf is in place. The shelf does not need to be attached to the shelf bracket. Tip: use our handy spirit level to check whether the shelf is level. You will find these among our hand tools.

We recommend using a shelf with a maximum width of 20 cm and a thickness of 4 cm with this industrial shelf bracket. You determine the length yourself. Please note that when you use a long shelf (more than 100 cm), you place several shelf brackets underneath. For the best load-bearing capacity, we recommend installing a shelf bracket every 50 cm. The tested load capacity of these shelf brackets is approximately 30 kg when using two pieces, which only applies when properly installed.
