One big advantage of a weed membrane is that, although it blocks sunlight, it is water-permeable. As a result, the fabric will not fill with water. Landscape fabric is therefore also extremely suitable for use between your plants.

How to lay a weed membrane

1. Calculate in advance how many square meters of landscape fabric you need, so you know which width and length you need to order.
2. Are you going to lay several sheets of weed membrane next to each other? Make sure that they overlap each other by 15-20 cm. Thereby ensuring there are no exposed gaps between the weed barriers and no light comes through.
3. When laying the garden membrane, use stones to weigh down the corners and/or edges. This will prevent the fabric from catching wind, making it easier to lay the weed membrane.
4. Cut the weed membrane with a knife if necessary.
5. Secure the landscape fabric with ground hooks.
