Why choose Nylon Plugs 8 x 40 mm - 100 per box?

  • Suitable for almost all solid building materials
  • Plug doesn't turn thanks to smart wings

    Nylon Plugs 8 x 40 mm - 100 per box

With these 8 x 40 mm nylon plugs you can easily anchor slats to the wall. It is of course also possible to hang a painting or the like using these plugs. Wovar supplies nylon plugs in boxes of 100 pieces. Take advantage of our volume discount and order at least 10 boxes. The plugs can be perfectly combined with our galvanised full-thread screws 5.0 mm thick.

How deep should I drill for the plug?

You maintain the correct drilling depth by adding 10 mm to the length of the plug. With this nylon plug you drill 50 mm deep. Choose from one of our 5 mm thick chipboard screws for these nylon plugs. You determine the correct length of the screw by first adding 10 mm to the length of the plug. In this case 50mm. Then add the thickness of the material to be attached. For example, is this a 20 mm thick slat? Then take a 70 mm long screw.

How do I know in which building material I want to fix the plug?

These nylon plugs are suitable for anchoring in concrete, solid bricks, light concrete, sand-lime brick and masonry. The material in which you want to anchor the plug is easy to determine. You do this by drilling into the building material with a small drill and checking the drill dust. There are different types of drill dust. With a red drill dust the building material is stone and with a grey colour you drill in concrete. If you get white drilling dust, this may indicate aerated concrete or plasterboard. The difference here is that the plasterboard drill dust is slightly lighter and more sticky.
