You can easily mount 5 x 10 cm beams with these very strong joist hangers made of galvanized steel. The joist hanger can easily be screwed on through the 23 handy screw holes and has a net inner size of 50 x 85 mm. The outer size is 145 x102 mm. When mounting our joist hangers on wood, use our super strong chipboard screws stainless steel or galvanized.

What is the strength of this joist hanger?

The image on the right shows how the wearing direction is indicated by means of abbreviations. For example, DR stands for the load-bearing capacity downwards, DW for the lateral strength and T for the force of the beam or wall. The way of fastening also affects the load-bearing capacity of the joist hanger. When using nails, the load-bearing capacity is many times less than when using screws. Below you can see the load capacity shown in a table. The load-bearing capacity was tested with a total of 18 galvanized screws 5 x 35 mm. It is recommended to use a minimum of 4.0 mm screws. The load-bearing capacity for fastening with nails has been tested 4x40 mm threaded nails 18 pcs.
