Looking to purchase coated screws? Wovar has a wide range of very strong coated decking screws. Screws with a coating are very suitable for outdoor use and tannic wood types. The special coating of these screws protects the steel against oxidation and acids found in Oak, Garapa, Western Red Cedar, Accoya and Kapur hardwood. The coated screws from Wovar with torx head are also rust-resistant and strongly resemble stainless steel screws. The advantage of our coated screws is that they are twice as strong as stainless steel screws.
The organic coating consists of 3 different layers. This means you do not have to worry that the coating will be damaged when screwing in the screws. The coating heals by itself! Coated screws are available in 4mm and 5mm thick. The lengths vary from 30 to 80 mm. All coated screws from Wovar have a Torx drive and a handy cutting tip. Orders within Europe are delivered between 2 and 5 business days. Need other decking screws? then look at decking screws.
Our coated screws are a perfect alternative to 310 stainless steel decking screws, these types of stainless steel screws like to stain tannic wood types. The further advantage of coated screws is that they are suitable for all types of wood, so you never have to think about which screw to use. The screw with grey coating is suitable for every job in the garden. Please note the head size (5x50 mm is a must for decking) and the product description. Black coated screws are only be suitable for fences.

Wovar's coated screws are grey / anthracite in color. Each coated screw has a torx impression. This prevents your machine from slipping and reduces the risk of damage to the propeller. The anti-rust / anti-tannic coating is built up in three layers and has the highest corrosion class C4. Pre-drilling in coniferous wood is not necessary. This is recommended for hardwood. You can use our hardwood drill bits for this. Coated screws 4mm thick are pre-drilled with a 3.0mm thick hardwood drill and the 5mm thick screws with a 3.5mm thick wood drill.
A razor-sharp cutting point has also been applied to all coated screws. The cutting point, also called drill point, ensures that the screw quickly turns in the wood. The screw thread of the screws is, as it were, interrupted by a kind of saw cut. Under the head of the coated screws are milling ribs. These ensure that the countersunk head sinks nicely into the wood.
