Mounting a sliding bolt
Because the sliding bolts are universal, mounting one is a simple job. The mounting plate contains 8 mounting holes. We recommend using our galvanised, full threaded screws 4 mm. These screws are great for attaching steel to wood. If you are installing the sliding bolt to hardwood, pre-drill the holes with a 3 mm drill bit. Pay attention to the gap between the bolt and the strike plate. Make sure this distance is about 5 - 10 mm.
