These galvanised chipboard screws 4x60 mm from Wovar have a pozidriv drive. Pozidriv drive is a star-shaped incision that is very popular with home craftsmen. The chipboard screws PZ are provided with a special wax that allows your machine to screw in the screws with less effort. This allows you to mount more screws per battery charge. The screws are made of hardened galvanised steel. This is done by means of a special heat treatment. During this treatment, the chipboard screws are first heated enormously and then cooled quickly. Milling ribs are located under the countersunk head of these screws. These ensure that the screw sinks beautifully into the wood.

For hardwood, we recommend our stainless steel 410 chipboard screws. Over time, galvanised screws will react to the tannic acid found in hardwood. This causes the screws to oxidise. This does not happen with our stainless steel chipboard screws. If you are working with hardwood, it is recommended to pre-drill. For screws 4.0 mm thick, use our 3.0 mm thick hardwood drill bit.
