Chipboard screws Galvanized 4 x 40 mm Pozidrive - 200 pcs
These galvanized chipboard screws 4x40 mm from Wovar have a pozidrive drive. Pozidrive drive is a star-shaped incision that is very popular with home craftsmen. The chipboard screws PZ are provided with a special wax that allows your machine to screw in the screws with less effort. This allows you to mount more screws per battery charge. Use for mounting these chipboard screws for our PZ-2 bits! These have a perfect fit on Wovar chipboard screws pozidrive.
The screws are made of hardened galvanized steel. This is done by means of a special heat treatment. During this treatment, the chipboard screws are first heated enormously and then cooled quickly. Milling ribs are located under the countersunk head of these screws. These ensure that the screw sinks beautifully into the wood.
For hardwood we recommend our 4x40mm stainless steel 410 chipboard screws. Over time, galvanized screws will react to the tannic acid found in hardwood. This causes the screws to oxidize. This does not happen with our stainless steel chipboard screws. If you are working with hardwood it is recommended to drill. For screws 4.0 mm thick, use our 3.0 mm thick hardwood drill bit.
