Tannic acid is an organic acid found in a number of hardwood species, including Oak, garapa, red Cedar and kapur. The self-healing anti-rust coating with corrosion class C4 protects the screws from this, preventing the screw from being corroded and creating unsightly black stains in the wood.

To ensure that the wood will not split when screwed in, the chipboard screws are equipped with a special Type-17 cutting point. The screw head features a Torx-20 impression. The corresponding bits are supplied with the screws free of charge.

When working with Hardwood, it is always wise to pre-drill. This is because the screw will then have to withstand less resistance, minimising the chance of it breaking. Use a 3 mm thick hardwood drill bit with these screws.
