Placing a Post Anchor

To place the post anchor, start by digging a hole. If you are going to erect a heavy construction, we recommend that you pour quick cement into it. This will provide extra strength so that the construction remains stable. When you have poured the quick cement, you can insert the pointed post anchor. The hole should be approximately 40 x 40 cm, with a depth of 80 cm. You can pour a block of cement which will strengthen the post anchor well. The post holder should be slightly above the ground (the pointy part, the holder should remain completely above the ground). Mount the post using 4 sturdy wood screws. We recommend galvanised coach screws because these are a lot more powerful than standard garden screws. This is perfect for heavy posts and structures. With an M10 coach screw, pre-drill with 6 mm hardwood drill bits.

Normally, the post in the ground remains moist for a long time, which quickly causes wood rot. To further prevent wood rot, make sure that the wooden post "floats" in the post tip. So you do not push it to the bottom, but ensure that the post remains a few millimeters from the bottom of the holder.
