Metal drill bit HSS-G TiN 5 mm - Per Piece
Wovar's metal drills are made of high-strength steel. As a result, our metal drills have a high fracture resistance. The Wovar metal drills are not only completely ground and very strong, but also provided with a TiN coating. This makes the drill heat resistant up to tot 600°C, which leads to longer tool life and increased cutting values.
What can I use the Wovar metal drill for?
The Wovar metal drill can be used for steel, cast steel, alloyed and unalloyed (up to 1100 N/mm2 strength), grey, malleable iron, ductile and die-cast iron, sintered iron, nickel silver, graphite, short-chipping aluminium alloys, brass and bronze.
Which drill size should I choose?
When working with our Wovar decking screws, use a 3.5mm thick drill bit. Do you work with 4mm thick screws? Then take a 3mm thick metal drill bit. Do you mount constructions with carriage bolts? Then take the thickness of the carriage bolt plus 1mm. For example, if you are working with M8 carriage bolts, use a 9mm thick metal drill.
Do you want to drill holes in hard or soft wood? Then choose our Wovar hardwood drills, also very strong and equipped with a TiN coating.
Do not forget to take advantage of our volume discount and order at least 5 metal drills. Companies in the construction and garden industry benefit from additional benefits such as discounts with a business account.
