This Monkey Tail Bolt from Wovar is electrolytically galvanised, or zinc plated. With electrolytic galvanised, the steel is immersed in a salt solution. The salt solution adheres to the tail bolt, creating a beautiful, smooth zinc layer that offers protection against corrosion. This form of galvanising also gives a modern look.

The tail bolt is 40 cm long and 16 mm thick. This makes the monkey tail bolt universally applicable and suitable for almost all gates and fences. Screw on the monkey tail bolt with our 4.0 mm thick galvanised full-thread screws. Do you use hardwood? Then pre-drill with a 3.0 mm hardwood drill bit.
