Door handle with backplate aluminium thumb model - Per Set

This door handles with shield, are made of high-grade aluminium and has beautiful butterfly-style door handles, which widen slightly at the ends. This door hardware consists of 2 door fittings, 2 door handles and a handle backplate. Included in this door hardware set are two door handles, one of which comes with a pre-mounted door handle spindle. Also included are two matching Aluminium door handle backplates. These door handle backplates have two screw holes for fastening to the door and, if desired, a keyhole or hole for cylinder locks

It is very important that you choose the right variant locking method of the Door handle backplate to match your door lock. You measure the right size by measuring the centre-to-centre distance from door handle to keyhole. Available sizes in this are:

Door hardware aluminium

• Door handle: Has a length of 11 cm and a width of 1.9 cm. The distance from the door handle backplate to the top of the door handle is 4.8 cm.

  Door handle backplate: has a length of 11 cm and a width of 1.9 cm.

• Door handle backplate: Has a length of 18 cm and a width of 4.1 cm. Wovar recommends 4 x 25 mm Galvanised screws or matching patent screws for mounting. Don't have these yet? Then easily include them in your order.

  Mounting Aluminium door hinges on shields

  1. Place the door handle backplates against the door on both sides of the door.
  Draw the crank hole, any keyhole or cylinder lock and the mounting holes of the door shields with a Carpenter's pencil.
  2. With a carpenter's pencil you can mount the door handle backplate.
  3. Use a butterfly drill bit to easily drill out the holes for the door handle and any keyhole 
  .
  4. Pre-drill the mounting holes lightly with a 2 mm hardwood drill bits for screws ó with a 4 mm drill bit for patent screws.
  5. Fix the Door handle backplate to the door with the full-thread screws or patent bolts. 
  6. Place the door handle with the handle spindle in the door and attach the loose door handle to it with the supplied fixing ball. Tighten it firmly with a 3 mm allen key.
