The extra long rotatable flex fence

The rotatable slats consist of 2 stainless steel rails of 220 cm long and are supplied with screws to fix the rails. However, you will have to order additional screws for mounting the shelves to the rails. We recommend to pre-use our full-thread screws galvanised 3 x 16 mm.

Which planks are suitable?

A maximum of 19 planks can be mounted in this flex fence. Planks that are suitable for use as rotatable slats are, for example, impregnated pine fence boards or smooth planed hardwood fence boards with a thickness of 1.6 - 1.8 cm and a width of 14.5 cm. In addition, we recommend using planks of no more than 180 cm to prevent deflection. The flex fence can be placed both horizontally and vertically. Wovar has various ready-to-use plank sets in its range for the flex fence. Think of a normal plank, but also beautiful black planks. Tip: Wood always needs space to work. Therefore, do not screw the planks too tightly to the stainless steel rails.

Pay attention! The stainless steel rails can show slight rust formation due to some types of wood. This is due to the acids in the wood, but you can easily wipe it off. We have extensively tested the rails, also with a salt spray test. Coastal provinces can have a reinforcing effect on rust, but even then it is easy to wipe away. This does not affect the strength or the looks of the rails.

Note: The Flex Fence rotatable slats may look a bit flimsy upon arrival. However, this is not a problem. By tightening the lock nut in the U-profile of the slats, you determine how hard the slats open and close. When you tighten these, the carriers will tighten. You can easily do this with a water pump pliers. Do this before attaching the slats, as this is no longer possible after attachment.
